About Us
Founded in 2019 as Elite Football Development, the company was established by current Derby County footballer Ben Osborn and former professional footballer and coach Jack Andrews, with the mission to inspire young people through sport and education. Starting as a football coaching and P.E provider in local schools and within the community, we quickly witnessed first-hand the positive impact that sport was having, not only in fostering strong relationships, but also in developing positive skills, behaviours and attributes that go way beyond the playing field.
It was at this point that we rebranded as EFD Sport and Education and in doing so launched our own personal development mentoring curriculum that uses the transformative power of sport, both from a theory and practical side, to have a positive impact on our young learners.
Fast forward to now, we have a team of inspiring, relatable and professional mentors working with hundreds of children across multiple schools and regions each week, all positively impacting their academic and personal outcomes.
Our Progression, Empowerment and Enjoyment principles are at the core of everything we do, as we focus on helping young people to exceed their potential, feel empowered to achieve their dreams and enjoy the process of becoming the best version of themselves.
